Holidays

Wes and I had a lovely few days after Christmas laying around the cabin, skiing and relaxing.  We saw lots of wildlife, including 5 little bucks and 2 fawns at one point in the front yard, 17 wild turkeys trekking through our backyard and then later being chased into the trees by Cider.  We also saw lots more deer, geese and ducks while we were out skiing through The Dead Marshes.  There is a fair amount of snow, but still lots of vegetation poking through and sheets of ice down by the water.  The lake doesn't look like it's as close to freezing as it was last year by this time, but we'll see what the next few weeks bring.

Thankful And Full

Happy Thanksgiving!  We were missing a few this year.  We had a tiny table, but it was big on love.  We had a lovely day and plenty of food!

Autumn Adventures

Wes and I had a perfect empty nester weekend!  Saturday, we went for a long bike ride on the beach.  It was really fun despite my unfortunate choice of Waldo apparel!  Ha ha!!  I wonder if anyone spotted me. ;)  In the afternoon we went for a long Rhonda ride up to the top of one of the hills up above Garden City.  It was the most spectacular view!  We finished off our perfect day with dinner at Cafe Sabor and the LOST 4th season finale.  It could not have been a better weekend with the best adventure partner ever.
